Lennie III has been a DJ since 1979. He started spinning during his freshman year of college while training for an ON AIR position at his college radio station. Original a competitive couple’s dancer, he was fascinated by the music and spent most of his time watching the DJ when he wasn’t competing in a club’s competition that night. With eight years of classical piano training, he said, “I can do that!” After two years of honing his skills and working mobile gigs, he landed his first club job at a small dance bar in Trenton, NJ. An so began his career as a club DJ.

In recent years, Lennie III has been labeled primarily a “Black Party” style DJ. But due to his being asked to do an increasing number of high energy day events, including T-Dances, he has proved that his talents are not limited to this one format. Lennie III has played a long list of dance formats ranging from Club High Energy to Dance Oriented Rock & Top 40 and House Music to Techno. And with each format he has found a way to make it his own with his smooth, nearly surgically precise style of mixing.

Lennie III currently promotes the formats of Progressive House, Trance, Hard House, Tribal, and Epic Trance. This blend of formats has brought him the most recognition of any other in his career. His music selections create a dark, sexy vibe infused with energy that his dance floor audiences find most addicting. Recently, he has brought a bit of rock beat sound to his sets that has really helped to torque his dance floor. He has been able to carry this vibe over to his more HighEnergy events such as The Carnival Pier Dance 2005, Caravan of Dreams: A New Year’s Celebration 2006; Boot Camp: Northhampton Pride 2007 Men’s Dance Event and Woof on the Wharf: Opening party for Provincetown Bear Week 2007. With more and more requests to play HighEnergy and “White Party” events he has adapted his sound to these requests and expanded his horizons.
